Hand-crocheted by skilled women artisans in a village just outside Marrakech, each light is made to order using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The result? A one-of-a-kind Moroccan pendant light that’s equal parts lighting and art.

- Materials: Silky viscose ‘kitan’ thread, traditionally used to embellish Moroccan kaftans, crocheted around handcrafted brass rings
- Colour: Marrakech Blush – soft, dusky and totally swoon-worthy
- Inspiration: The Hamimi Moroccan pendant light range takes its shape from daily life in Morocco – think tagines, woven baskets and clay pots

- This is a lampshade only – electrical light fittings and cables are not included
- Light Bulb: Max 11W Warm White LED (clear or pearl recommended) – bulbs not included
- Lighting Effect:
• Clear bulbs = stunning patterned shadows through the crochet
• Pearl bulbs = soft, diffused glow
- Warm or cool? We love a warm white for a cosy, ambient feel
- Installation: Must be installed by a licensed electrician. We include simple instructions – and for locals in Geelong, we can even help arrange installation

- Made to Order: Each Moroccan pendant light is handmade just for you in Marrakech – please allow 2–5 weeks plus delivery
- Custom Options: Choose your colour, size and shape – just like a lighting pick n mix
- Shipping: Flat-packed for safe, eco-conscious shipping
- Care: Clean gently with a feather duster, lint roller or vacuum with a furniture nozzle. For stubborn spots, a lightly damp cloth will do the trick
- All orders over $1000AUD attract a 10% customs duty/ GST and will be invoiced separately upon confirmation

Electrical Light Fittings: Our Malika Crochet Lights are lampshade only. The electrical light fittings and cable will need to be purchased separately.
Light Bulb: Max 11W Warm White LED (Clear or Pearl). Light bulbs are not included. You may wish to experiment with the strength of the bulb to achieve your desired brightness and ambience in the space.
You can also use pearl or clear bulbs to create different lighting effects - a pearl bulb will contain the light within the pendant to create a warm glow whereas a clear bulb cast light out through the crochet weave to create patterned shadows on the surrounding ceiling and close walls.
Choosing between a warm or cool white bulb will also affect the ambience you create - we typically use a warm white bulb.
Installation: To be installed by a qualified electrician. Simple installation instructions are included. If in the Geelong region we can arrange installation.
Packaging: Each pendant is flat-packed for safe and economical shipping.
Cleaning & Care: Clean regularly with a feather duster, lint roller and/or vacuum with a furniture nozzle attachment. Can be wiped clean with a lightly dampened cloth.
