Art Exhibitions at Jade and May

Thanks for your interest in taking part in our monthly rotating Art Exhibition Wall in our Jade and May Lifestyle store located at 17a Rutland St, Newtown Vic.  

Our retail space trades 6 days per week from Mon- Sat 9.30am - 4pm with extra days and hours during peak trade around Mother's Day and Christmas, offering our own range of sleepwear, loungewear, homewares and more alongside a range of Independent brands, both local and from around the world to complement our range.  

If your application is successful your artwork pieces will be displayed along our 'Art Wall' in store, a shelf of approx 4 metres in length that runs down the side of our store above a rack of our linen sleepwear, or an alternate location in store that may be more suited to your work.  All sales are processed through our checkout with packaging and all transaction fees included.

The Nitty Gritty:

• Month runs from the first trading business day of the month at Jade and May and ends on the last trading day of the month at Jade and May 
• 1-month rent at $395 + GST per month
• 30% commission on sales
• Art work will be displayed together on a shelf of approx 4 metres or in smaller sections around the shop, where appropriate but this can be discussed and worked out when hanging 
• Full curatorial and hanging by the Jade and May team 
• An opening afternoon with drink upon arrival is included.  Extra refreshments available upon request
• 1 x blog on our website to introduce your work to our customers
• 1 x inclusion in our EDM to introduce you and your brand to our customers
• 1 x social media post per month + ad-hoc stories
• Online listing when e-com appropriate images are provided
• One week of pre-order upon request to our current email subscribers
• Greeting cards and/or prints may also be displayed for sale in addition to your artwork at no extra cost, with a commission of 30% on all sales
• An opportunity to host a workshop in-store at no extra cost, where suitable, during opening hours
• All sales are processed through our checkout with packaging and all transaction fees are included

• A brief description on the artwork you would like to display
• Up to 10 recent images of the artwork you would like to display
• Location and any other spaces your work is in

• Your preferred month to exhibit - please give more than one option where possible
• Any applicable images of how you would like your product displayed
