The Perfect Iced Chocolate
This is the iced chocolate you make when the day feels long, the sun is loud, and you want something sweet but not silly-sweet. Rich, nostalgic, quietly luxurious. Best enjoyed barefoot in the kitchen or in a sunny patch on the verandah
You’ll need
2 tbsp Grounded Pleasures Original Drinking Chocolate
1 tbsp boiling water
2 scoops vanilla ice-cream
300ml milk of your choice (full cream, oat, almond - they all work just as well as each other)
How to make it
In a small bowl or cup, mix the Grounded Pleasures drinking chocolate with the boiling water until it becomes a smooth, glossy paste. No lumps, no rush.
Spoon about half of this chocolate mix into a tall glass, gently tilting it so it drips down the sides. This is the fun part.
Add two generous scoops of vanilla ice-cream, then slowly pour over your milk of choice. Finish by drizzling the remaining chocolate over the top.
Grab a spoon. Sip. Repeat.
Drink immediately while it’s perfectly melty and just right.
Makes one iced chocolate for a 470ml glass.
Optional add-ons (highly encouraged)
- tiny pinch of sea salt for depth
- splash of cold brew coffee for an iced mocha moment
- swap vanilla ice-cream for coconut or hazelnut
- a dusting of cocoa or chocolate shavings on top if you’re feeling host-level effort
