Clean Your White Sneakers - the Non Toxic Way
There would be few that walk among us who don't have a pair (or three) of white sneakers in their wardrobe. Over the last couple of years, they've become nothing less than a wardrobe staple. And we believe that the ease and versatility of the look will keep them there for some time to come!
And whilst we understand the joy that comes with a brand new pair of pristine white kicks (we really do), we're here to share some essential cleaning tips on how to remove the dreaded scuffs and marks that will inevitably come.
To restore cloth sneakers to their original state, spray them with our Koala Eco stain spray and let them sit for ten. Remove the laces and inner soles and place the sneakers in the washing machine on the delicate cycle, along with (30ml) of the Koala Eco Oxygenated Bleach, as well as with some white towels (this prevents the sneakers from hitting the drum). Remove the sneakers and let them air dry before replacing the laces and inner soles.
For leather sneakers, create a paste using equal parts of baking soda with the Koala Eco natural dish soap and use a toothbrush to gently scrub the mixture onto your shoes using circular motions. Let it sit for half an hour before using a damp dish cloth to wipe off the paste. Use a clean tea towel to completely dry your shoes before storing, as moisture can damage leather.
Thankfully with a little know how and some fabulous products from our friends at Koala Eco, we'll help you keep those shoes looking just outta the box fresh, without hurting the environment
