This unique Seven Spice Sri Lankan Chai blend is the product of seven freshly ground spices, sourced directly from some of the world's finest spice farms. Then blended with an organic, unrefined jaggery sugar (evaporated sugar cane juice) and a natural Sri Lankan tea extract. The balance of spices ensures that the flavours are not too gingery. This chai has been created to have a flavour as close as possible to what a chai street wallah would serve in India or Sri Lanka.
It was the allure of the original fabled Spice Islands that first brought me to Sri Lanka, providing the inspiration for this evocative chai. After immersing myself in the local spice farms and culture, I brought some of this bounty home to share. I aim to emulate the flavourful experience of getting a chai from a street chai wallah with an exotic blend of freshly ground spices, robust black tea and organic unrefined jaggery sugar. Perfection.
