One of the oldest flowers on the planet, the Protea was named after the Greek God Proteus, who was able to change forms.

A fitting name for this flower which represents strength, courage and resilience, and comes in such a variety of styles.

The artist Kerrie Knuckey says 'I love the range of colours in these plants - from the mix of deep and light pinks in their petals to the greeny blue and brown of their stem and leaves, I’ve used bright and somewhat quirky colours combined with clear line work in these pieces to try and convey the strength and the joy of these flowers'
