Inside My Cord Tote Bag: What I Actually Use Every Day
Let’s be honest – some of us carry our whole personality in a cord tote bag. If it’s not snacks, it’s lip balm. If it’s not lip balm, it’s three rogue pens, a crumpled receipt from 2021, and a half-eaten muesli bar you definitely meant to throw out.
So, today I’m giving you the lowdown on what actually lives inside my beloved cord tote bag -the hero of the everyday hustle, the real MVP of errands, markets, and quick “I’ll just pop out for a minute” moments (that somehow turn into three hours and a spontaneous trip to local plant nursery)
My Everyday Essentials:
1. A Softcover Notebook + Pen
My brain doesn't work unless I write things down. This notebook catches to-do lists, random ideas, grocery lists, and my deepest philosophical thoughts like "Do I need another plant?" (The answer is always yes)
2. Reusable Water Bottle
Hydration station, always. It's the kind of thing you forget once and never again after that rogue coffee-dehydration headache.
3. Sunglasses (and occasionally, the case)
Because squinting isn’t cute.
4. Mini Zip Pouch
Filled with: lip balm (plural, actually), mints, bobby pins, bandaids, and one lonely Panadol.
5. Phone + Wallet + Keys
The holy trinity. I love that the cord tote has a roomy interior but still lets me find these essentials quickly—because no one wants to be that person fishing around at the checkout while everyone behind them sighs audibly.
6. Fold-Up Shopping Bag
Because I always end up buying more than I said I would. Always.
